I am still not sure I know what I am doing here and, well I clicked a few buttons and it may just be that I have published this "blog" thingy. Who knows?
Is there anybody out there?
It's a bit like opening a store really, just like I did back in September. You open your door and few people wander in but the majority of the world out there don't even know you exist. Occasionally people will come in and say "How long have you been open, I haven't seen you before?" and you think to yourself, "Where have you been for the last 3 months buddy?"
I guess word travels slowly in these parts.

What's this all about?
Well, this is partly about the fact that I think I need to get into this ‘blogging’ business or be left behind in the world. It is also about the need to create something where I can put down my thoughts and experiences as I go through this process of building a new business again. I guess it will also let y’all see what is going on in my life and at DESIGN & GRACE.
DESIGN & GRACE is my new store in Grapevine TX – which some will know is the place where I now live with my lovely wife Lynn. After the decision to hand over the UK business to my son Paul, I had to quickly decide what I was going to do to earn some money and also what I should do with my God-given talents. Somehow, He led me this direction. Who knows why? He does, I guess.
So, what’s up? As they say in these here parts.
Well, we’ve been open now for just over a month and, whilst sales are still modest, we are getting increased traffic and we have more products as each week goes by. We have Wüsthof, of course, the best knives in the world. We have Scanpan, both Classic non-stick and the new Fusion 5 stainless range. We have Staub, Pillivuyt, Menu, Guzzini, Sassafras and Scanwood. We took in some pens from ACME AND WE HAVE Kaiser bakeware and Zassenhaus mills on the way. We also ordered something from the old country, from my old hometown, and eventually we may well get delivery of some mugs from Dunoon. Eventually.
